The Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) announced the results of the 54th "JAA Advertising Awards: Consumer-Selected Advertising Contest" on December 17.
A key feature of this award is that consumers, not advertising professionals, serve as judges. It represents a renewal of the "Advertising Contest for the Benefit of Consumers," which has been running for over half a century since 1961.
This year, from 2,384 entries across 6 categories, 65 finalists were selected by a total of 130 consumer judges. From these, 5 JAA Awards, 1 JAA Special Award, and 1 Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award were chosen. Additionally, the Best Partner Award was presented to the advertising agencies and production companies that created the JAA Award-winning entries. Dentsu Inc. won in 4 out of the 5 categories.
