CM characters gather for the launch of the Green Jumbo Lottery.
The Green Jumbo Lottery (691st National Autonomous Lottery), with a grand prize of 600 million yen for the first prize and prizes for the second and third prizes, went on sale on February 24, and a commemorative event was held at the Nishi-Ginza Chance Center in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.
The first prize is 400 million yen, with 100 million yen each for the prizes before and after the first prize, making a total prize amount of 600 million yen. There are 17 first prizes and 34 prizes before and after the first prize, with the potential to create up to 51 millionaires. This is the first jumbo lottery of the year and will be on sale until March 18. The draw will take place on the 25th.
Approximately 250 people lined up at the ticket window of the Nishi-Ginza Chance Center, known as a famous spot for big wins, at the start of sales, forming a long line seeking dreams from early morning.

On a special stage, Jumbo Lottery commercial characters Ryoko Yonekura, Taizo Harada, and George Tokoro appeared in fashion incorporating "green" and engaged in conversation.
When asked what he wanted to do this spring, in reference to the line "If there's something you want to do, just do it" from the commercial, Mr. Tokoro showed his gentle grandfather side, saying, "My grandchildren are small, so I'm going to edit the movies I've been filming."
When asked what dream they would fulfill if they won 600 million yen, Yonekura commented, "Until now, I've always had a dream before buying a ticket, so I'll think about it after I win," while Tokoro drew laughter by saying, "It's cold and I need to go to the bathroom, so I'll build a temporary toilet here (in preparation for the next event)." Harada shared his long-held dream, saying, "I enjoyed filming the commercial, so I want to build a 'Kissa Jumbo' (Jumbo Cafe) and put a sauna on top of it."

In recognition that the lottery's proceeds support land conservation and greening projects, planters with five Japanese white oak saplings were prepared. Mr. Harada planted the sixth sapling, symbolizing the 600 million yen prize, and Ms. Yonekura watered it with a golden watering can. Finally, Mr. Tokoro concluded with the chant, "Rock, rock, 600 million yen!"
