Neo First Life Insurance New TV Commercial Nikaido-san as Kuidaore Taro's wife!?
Neo First Life Insurance, part of the Dai-ichi Life Group, will begin airing a TV commercial for its new product, "Neo de Iryo Health Promote," starting March 5. The company's predecessor was Sompo Japan D.I.Y. Life Insurance. It became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life in 2014 and launched its first product under the new company in 2015. This new product marks its second launch. Ahead of the broadcast start, the company held a press conference for the new TV commercial on the 3rd at Dai-ichi Life's headquarters in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
At the outset, Executive Officer Toyomi Maehara stated that the company aims for a business model that provides products to customers who want to "compare and choose insurance in a more accessible way," guided by the corporate slogan "Prioritizing 'What if it existed?'". Regarding the new product's features, she highlighted "easier enrollment even with pre-existing conditions" and "coverage even if pre-existing conditions worsen." She emphasized the key point: "The 'Health Discount' – if you prevent the worsening of pre-existing conditions and maintain your health status for five years, your premiums will be lower for life thereafter."



Actress Fumi Nikaido, who appears in the commercials, took the stage. Both episodes, "The Wife of Kuidaore Taro" and "The Wife of Shocker's Chief," were shown. Nikaido has previously been cast in the company's commercials as the wife of Kamen Rider's "Shocker" and the wife of "Eyeball Father" from Gegege no Kitaro. This commercial is a sequel and the third installment.

Nikaido said, "I acted while thinking about love for family and my husband. I feel everyone shares the same feelings for their family." Co-star Shokidaore Taro added via flipboard, "I thought you were raised in Osaka," praising her skillful dialect. Nikaido revealed her health maintenance involves drinking warm water to avoid chilling her body and practicing yoga. She shared a message: "I think this turned out to be an even more wonderful commercial than before. I'd be happy if more people become conscious of their health after seeing this."
