Fumi Nikaido and Kento Yamazaki Switch It On ~ Large Vision Screen Appears at Ikebukuro PARCO

PARCO will install a large LED display measuring approximately 11 meters wide and 6 meters tall on the exterior wall of Ikebukuro PARCO in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, starting operations on April 1st to enhance its information dissemination. A lighting ceremony was held on March 22nd in advance of this launch.

Ikebukuro PARCO is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station.
The large display was installed at a height where people crossing the major intersection can look up at it.

First, Michinori Hattori, Manager of Ikebukuro PARCO, took the stage and explained the PARCO Vision's overview.
Next, Toshio Takano, Mayor of Toshima Ward, offered words of encouragement: "As one of Ikebukuro's leading commercial facilities, boasting Japan's second-highest passenger volume, we hope PARCO will continue to lead this city. This largest vision in Ikebukuro will surely be a driving force for that."

Then, as special guests for the vision lighting ceremony, Fumi Nikaido and Kento Yamazaki, who co-star in the movie "Wolf Girl and Black Prince," made an appearance.

When asked by the host, "Do you come to Ikebukuro often?", Fumi replied, "I come occasionally, but I think it's a fun town with lots of movie theaters and great restaurants." Kento shared his memories of Ikebukuro: "My high school was near Ikebukuro, so I often hung out with friends after school. We'd play darts or grab a bite to eat. But there are still many places I haven't explored yet."

Looking slightly nervous, the two waved cheerfully at a camera not yet live, asking, "Can you see us?" When the host pointed out, "You're not on yet," they shared an embarrassed smile, saying, "Oh, we jumped the gun."

After pressing the lighting switch together and seeing their image appear on the screen, Nikaido-san began by calling out, "Hello to everyone passing through Ikebukuro!" The two then promoted the movie while addressing passersby, saying, "Can you see us? We're right here~."

The vision screen not only displays PARCO information but also collaborates with Toshima Ward to broadcast local news. It also aims to serve as a space for corporate tie-up advertisements.
