Morinaga Milk Industry will release "Aloe Sterol Yogurt Drink" and "Aloe Sterol Yogurt" on April 12. These products contain "Aloe Sterol," a beauty food ingredient discovered from the plant Aloe vera. Aloe Sterol was discovered through over 10 years of research by the company and holds numerous patents both domestically and internationally.

Ahead of the launch, a press conference for the new products and TV commercial was held at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Minato Ward on March 24. Executive Officer Hiroki Takamizawa explained that the yogurt market, particularly functional yogurt, has shown significant growth in recent years. He stated, "We are launching the Aloest series targeting women in their 30s and older who are highly conscious of beauty." Yogurt Marketing Group Manager Makiko Kawakami presented that the product was developed under the concept "Beauty from within: Create your own beauty," emphasizing features like a refreshing taste and low calories that make it easy to consume daily.


At the venue, the new TV commercials "Supermarket" and "Beauty Drinks"—set to air from the launch date—were screened. Actress Chiaki Kuriyama and comedian Kanning Takeyama, who appear in the commercials, took the stage.
The commercials express women's skin concerns using the word "old man," with Kuriyama playing the woman and Takeyama playing the old man. The old man, serving as an icon for skin troubles, attaches itself to Kuriyama's face. The highlight is the unique interaction between Kuriyama, who desperately wants the old man to disappear, and Takeyama. The old man also has a side where he shares beauty secrets, making the subtle relationship between the two, centered around Aroestol, quite entertaining.
Ahead of the release, the "Powder Room" episode introducing the beauty ingredient aloesterol will air starting March 28.

Ms. Kuriyama, now with the old man living on her face, appeared in a neat dress. Mr. Takeyama wore vagabond-style clothing. The two, perfectly embodying the beauty and the old man, performed a product PR exchange instead of greetings. Ms. Kuriyama commented on the commercial, "When the old man finally disappeared with Aroeste, I felt a little lonely." Mr. Takeyama added, "I'd secretly like to peek at the sales floor to see if the old man is living on the faces of people who came to buy Aroeste." Known for her beautiful skin, Kuriyama emphasized that diet is crucial for inner beauty, stating, "I've been eagerly awaiting Aroeste's release." Takayama drew laughter by quipping, "That old man couldn't possibly live on Ms. Kuriyama's beautiful face."

The two toasted with Aloeste, shouting "Goodbye, old man!" They shared messages: "Please try Aloeste to chase away that old man!" and "We recommend it not only for women, but for men too."
