The Hideo Yoshida Memorial Foundation has selected the recipients for its 50th research grant program (FY2016) at its March 24 board meeting. This program solicits and supports research proposals in the field of "marketing and communication centered on advertising, public relations, and media" from full-time researchers affiliated with universities and doctoral students enrolled in doctoral programs.
This year, 11 projects (5 full-time researchers, 6 graduate students) were selected from a total of 41 applications (27 full-time researchers, 14 graduate students). Among these, 3 projects (3 full-time researchers, 0 graduate students) are for two-year continuing research, and 6 projects (2 full-time researchers, 4 graduate students) are designated research topics. The total grant amount for fiscal year 2016, including the three continuing projects from the previous year, is approximately 18.2 million yen.

Abstracts of the research results from these funded projects are compiled into booklets and widely distributed to advertising practitioners, researchers, university libraries, etc., and also published on the Foundation's website. Furthermore, the full research results are bound and made available for public viewing at the " Advertising Library" in Shiodome, Tokyo.
Furthermore, since fiscal year 2002, the " Hideo Yoshida Grant Research Award " has been presented annually to outstanding research results.
