On April 12, Dentsu Inc. announced an agreement to sign a "Partnership Agreement for Promoting Research and Commercialization" with the Graduate School of Medicine and the University Hospital of Osaka University. The agreement aims to advance innovation in the health and medical fields.
The Kansai region has been designated a National Strategic Special Zone for health and medical fields, with expectations for multi-layered innovation initiatives. Within this framework, Osaka University is strengthening its innovation efforts. This builds upon its advanced activities in fields like regenerative medicine, medical device development, and sports science, and leverages its status as the only National Strategic Special Zone Clinical Research Core Hospital affiliated with a national university hospital in Japan.
Against this backdrop, the university established an organization to promote industry-academia collaboration and cross-innovation in the health and medical field—the first of its kind among national university medical schools—to accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes and promote their societal application through strengthened corporate partnerships.
Dentsu Inc. has signed this agreement in conjunction with the launch of this organization and will work to promote academic research, support the commercialization of research results, disseminate information widely to society, and foster momentum for innovation.
