Kikkoman signed a Tokyo 2020 sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games on April 15, becoming an Official Partner.
The contract covers the categories of sauces (including soy sauce), vinegar, mirin, and cooking sake.
President Kosei Horikiri commented, "We will contribute to making this a wonderful Games by supporting the physical and mental health of supporters and visitors through our proposals for rich, soy sauce-enhanced cuisine, and by helping create 'delicious memories.'" Chairman Yoshiro Mori of the Organizing Committee also expressed his welcome.
