This year, 6,408 entries were submitted in the General Division (Breakdown: 4,001 in Graphics, 1,846 in TV Commercials/Web Videos, 402 in Radio Commercials, 159 in Web Advertising). From these, one TCC Grand Prix, fourteen TCC Awards, and three Jury Chairman's Awards were selected.

In the Newcomer Division, one Grand Prize Newcomer and 23 Newcomer Awards were selected from 431 entrants.

Chairman of the Jury, Wansky Fukusato, stated: "In our increasingly complex world, advertising has perhaps become a little too intellectual. Therefore, we adopted the judging principle of 'not overthinking things too much.'"
The au 'Santaro' series, which won the Grand Prix by an overwhelming margin, lives up to its tagline 'Everyone is a hero.' Charming characters appear one after another. Their witty banter and infectious energy resonated with people not through logic, but through emotion.
Alongside the Nagasaki Bus campaign, which won both the TCC Best Newcomer Award and the TCC Award, we saw a lineup of refreshingly witty winning entries."

The awards ceremony will be held on October 28. Additionally, the "TCC Advertising Awards Exhibition 2016" will be held at the Ad Museum Tokyo in Shiodome from August 4 to September 24, featuring displays of the winning works.
