On May 12, KFC Japan launched its new "Premium Chicken Fillet Sandwich" and released a web-exclusive video titled "KFC New Sandwich Cooking Movie," showcasing the process behind the product's creation.
The video beautifully depicts the process of sandwiching the secret-recipe chicken fillet and Iberico pork bacon between Kaiser buns, along with a mayo sauce made with extra virgin olive oil.
Also released simultaneously is the "Moromi~ Explains the KFC New Sandwich Cooking Movie" edition, featuring Daisuke Moromizato (nickname: Moromi~), known as a comedian with poor articulation.
Moromi~ proudly explains how to make the product, but his poor articulation shines through? with lines like "Iberico pork's achigiri bacon," "Place the shaki-ho chicken on top," and "Fresh tomatoes and lettuce are added." Phrases like "ex-shuto ba-ji oi-bu oil" and "kaiju aban-ju de! shan-do shimashita!" are also hilarious.
Captions appear to show what he's actually saying, so enjoy the contrast.
The company is also running a campaign where you can win a KFC CARD by deciphering Mr. Moromizato's words in the video and answering with keywords on Twitter.
