Orangina New TV Commercial A beautiful teacher has arrived from France!

Suntory Beverage & Food International will begin airing a new TV commercial for its fruit-infused carbonated beverage "Orangina" starting May 24.

The campaign features French actress Salomé de Marte, actress Fumino Kimura, actors Kentaro Sakaguchi, Tetsuya Takeda, and Jiro Sato, and comedian Eiji Kotoge as its image characters.

Ahead of the broadcast, a press conference was held on the 16th at Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo. Shinichiro Yanai, General Manager of the Food Business Division, explained that Orangina, now in its fifth year since entering the Japanese market, is performing well in sales, and that "Lemonジーナ," launched in 2015, has also been well-received. He announced that this year marks a transition to a new stage, including the renewal of Orangina and the launch of "Honey Lemonzina," a revamped version of Lemonzina. He also stated that the brand's communication strategy would be refreshed, replacing the highly acclaimed "Monsieur, It's Tough" commercial series featuring American actor Richard Gere with a new series. "We aim to become an even more beloved brand," he said in his address.

After screenings of both "Teacher Appears" and "As a Person," Salome, Kimura, Sato, and Kotoge took the stage. The new series depicts the interactions between a new French female teacher, Ms. Orangina (Salome), and the colorful townspeople of a school on a certain island, set against beautiful natural scenery.

Kimura (English teacher), Sakaguchi (Classical Japanese teacher), and Sato (Physical Education teacher) play fellow teachers, while Takeda Tetsuya portrays the principal. Kotoge plays a police officer at the local station.

Salomé stated, "I was able to come to Japan, and filming was a wonderful experience." Other cast members also praised the beauty of the filming locations. Impressions of Salomé were highly favorable, with comments like "her direct gaze and smile are cute" and "she has a captivating charm." An anecdote was shared about how they enjoyed chatting in broken English during breaks, showcasing the team's good rapport.

A school classroom set was built on stage for "Orangina Sensei's Special French Lesson." Sato and Kotoge competed to see who could say the French phrase meaning "Please go out with me" more fluently. The victorious Sato then toasted with Salome using Orangina. Kotoge's French was harshly judged as "I have no idea what he's saying," and he was denied the Orangina, reacting with his signature gag: "What a day!"

Regarding the commercial, Kimura noted it "can be enjoyed as a story," Sato called it "as refreshing as Orangina itself," and Kotoge highlighted "watch for the expressions as they filmed, knowing it was definitely a prank."

The brand site ( http://orangina.jp/ ) is premiering the commercial, with a web-exclusive video also scheduled for release soon.
