Dentsu Inc., in collaboration with the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES), which operates the FIFA Master program (a master's degree in sports management), will host the "Asia Sports Management Seminar: Vision and Strategy for Asia to Win Globally" on June 29 at Dentsu Hall in Shiodome, Tokyo. The event will feature former Japan national rugby team head coach Eddie Jones and others. Applications are now open for 400 participants (free of charge; registration closes once capacity is reached). Details and registration are available here.
This seminar is a revamped version of the " Asian Soccer Management Seminar," held three times previously to invigorate soccer business in Asia. This time, special guests from rugby and baseball will also be invited to discuss sports business beyond soccer.
Eddie Jones, who led Japan to its first Rugby World Cup victory in 24 years at Rugby World Cup 2015, and Park Chan-ho, the first Korean to play in Major League Baseball in 1994 and recipient of the 2015 Pioneer Award from the U.S. Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation, will speak from their respective perspectives as coach and player.
Zhu Xiaodong, CEO of Oceans Sports & Entertainment Marketing and a second-term FIFA Master graduate, who develops various sports businesses in China across soccer, tennis, marathon, and other fields, will explain a global vision for Asia to win in the world from a business perspective.
