Dentsu Inc. is holding Diversity Week at the entrance of its headquarters in Shiodome, Tokyo, from September 1st to 9th.
As the world shifts toward a "diversity society" where embracing diverse individuality and enabling its full potential becomes the standard, Japanese companies are also becoming more proactive in utilizing talent. Diversity encompasses a wide range of themes, including "disabilities," "women," "LGBT," "foreign nationals," "elderly," and "children."
Diversity Week focuses on LGBT, a particularly important theme. Using the main copy "Different is Power ~Because we are different, we seek to understand. That is where power is born.~", the event aims to deepen understanding of a diversity society.
The first-floor entrance of Dentsu Inc. is transformed into the rainbow colors, the symbol of LGBT, using six-colored banners. Photographs from the "OUT IN JAPAN" project by photographer Leslie Key, featuring various families, couples, and individuals, are on display.
