Dentsu Inc. Reaches Agreement to Acquire 100% of Shares in India's Leading PR Firm, Perfect Relations
Dentsu Aegis Network, the overseas headquarters of Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nao Ishii; Capital: ¥74,609.81 million), has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Perfect Relations Pvt. Ltd. (Headquarters: New Delhi; Group CEO: Pradeep Kewalramani, Group Managing Director: Dilip Cherian, hereinafter "Perfect Relations") to strengthen and expand its PR services in India.
This acquisition is driven by the growing importance of PR services within India's advertising and communications business. Furthermore, the Indian PR market is projected to maintain a high growth rate of 10-12% over the next 3-5 years.
Founded in 1994, Perfect Relations comprises six PR companies in India with different areas of expertise (Perfect Relations, Accord Public Relations, Image Public Relations, Imprimis Life PR, India Media Monitor Partnership, and Buzz Partnership). It operates 19 offices across the country, providing services in 50 cities. Locally, these six companies are collectively referred to as the "Perfect Relations Group."
The Perfect Relations Group, with approximately 500 employees and over 100 external specialists, collaborates to provide a wide range of PR services to client companies and organizations. These services include reputation management, brand & marketing communications, media management, public affairs and advocacy, investor relations, and crisis management.
The Perfect Relations Group is highly regarded across multiple sectors in the Indian market, having received numerous awards in various fields including PR, corporate communications, and crisis management, such as the Consultant of the Year Award and the Best Integrated Campaign Award.
Going forward, our group will accelerate its growth strategy in India by enhancing synergies between Perfect Relations Group companies and our other group companies operating locally.
The impact of this transaction on the consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2016 is expected to be minimal.
