Expanding the Circle of Support Through Hometown Tax Donations: Emergency Aid for Miyako City Hit by Typhoon Damage

Satofuru, operator of the hometown tax donation site "Satofuru, " launched the "2016 Typhoon Damage Miyako City Emergency Support Fund" site on September 16 to aid Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, designated as a severe disaster area due to damage from Typhoon No. 10 and other events.

Through this site, individuals can utilize the hometown tax donation system to donate specified amounts starting from 1,000 yen, in increments of 1 yen, directly to the city. For donations without requesting return gifts, the full amount applied for is delivered to the municipality, which then issues a donation receipt.

Mr. Munenori Koda, Head of the Regional Collaboration Business Promotion Department at the company, commented: "The debris flow that occurred in Miyako swept away many things and memories. Yet, step by step, step by step, the citizens and those involved are moving forward with determination. We want to do whatever we can, even if it's just a little.
