Kirin Beverage began airing a new TV commercial for "Kirin Afternoon Tea" titled "I Want to See You, I Want to Warm You" on December 7.
The commercial, depicting the pure love of a high school couple, was filmed in Minamiaso Village, Kumamoto Prefecture. This marks the first commercial shoot in the area since the major earthquake and the volcanic activity at Mount Aso.
The heroine is played by actress Moka Kamishiraishi, a current high school student. The story unfolds impressively against the backdrop of Miharadai Station and the beautiful, tranquil surrounding scenery, made possible by the full cooperation of the Minamiaso Railway, which currently operates only partial service. The elementary school children and farm women appearing in the commercial are local residents serving as extras.
The finished product conveys the company's desire to "warm up Japanese winters."
After filming, Ms. Kamishiraishi commented, "Since I'm originally from Kagoshima, it made me happy to feel close to my hometown. The sweetness of the air and the vastness of the sky kept my heart racing. I acted hoping this commercial would bring even a little smile to the faces of the local people."
