The Tokyo Advertising Association announced on January 5th that it has selected Mr. Nobutada Saji, Chairman of Suntory Holdings, as the recipient of the 36th "Tokyo Advertising Association Shirakawa Shinobu Award." Additionally, Mr. Kazumasa Kubota, Chairman and President of Sun-Ad and Advisor to Suntory Holdings, will be presented with the Special Achievement Award. The awards ceremony will be held in Tokyo on February 20th.
Established in 1982, the award honors the outstanding achievements of the late Shinobu Shirakawa, the inaugural chairman of the Japan Advertising Association (now the Tokyo Advertising Association), founded in 1947. It is funded by a donation from Mr. Shirakawa and is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of advertising.
Mr. Saji led the Suntory Group for many years and held key positions in public interest organizations within the advertising industry, contributing to enhancing the value of advertising. Mr. Kubota created numerous advertising communications for the Suntory Group and, currently as the head of Sun-Ad, develops high-quality creative work. He also holds key positions in advertising-related organizations, contributing to the revitalization of the advertising industry.
