Toyo Suisan launched the cup noodles "MARUCHAN QTTA SHO-YU Ramen," "MARUCHAN QTTA SEAFOOD Ramen," and "MARUCHAN QTTA TONKOTSU Ramen" on March 27. The new TV commercial "Bouldering" edition aired the same day, with the "Wind Ensemble" edition airing from April 26.
QTTA is a new brand concept designed to make people sigh with satisfaction after eating—"Ahh, I've eaten!"—and feel positive.
The commercial features comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto. It begins with Matsumoto suddenly showing up to bring KUTTA to a university bouldering club and a high school brass band club. Matsumoto observes the hardworking young people eating Kutta and watches to see what they say afterward. He reacts with typical Matsumoto banter: murmuring "They really say it?" upon hearing "I ate it~," teasing "That's quiet..." when the voice is soft, or exclaiming "You didn't say it?!" when a student uses a different expression.
For filming, the students weren't told Matsumoto-san would appear, so they could capture their genuine reactions. Reportedly, the students froze for a moment at his surprise appearance before bursting into joy.
Matsumoto-san also seemed like a caring senior, chatting with the students ad-lib during their interactions.
