Takara Shuzo New TV Commercial What if the beauty and the handsome guy next door were...

On April 17, Takara Shuzo held a press conference at the Jiji Press Hall in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, to announce a new TV commercial for its Shochiku Bai Shirakabe Kura "Mio" sparkling sake.
Available in two varieties—"Mio" and "Mio DRY"—this 5% alcohol sake offers a subtle sweetness derived from rice and rice koji, along with refreshing bubbles. Popular among younger generations, gatherings featuring Mio have spread on social media as "Mio parties."

The "Mio: Various Mio Parties Spring/Summer" edition, airing from the 18th, features actors Mizuki Yamamoto and Takumi Saitō. It depicts the scenes of their respective "Mio Parties" held next to each other and their encounter. Yamamoto and Saitō appeared on stage wearing their commercial outfits. Yamamoto commented on the commercial, "I've been a fan of the product for a long time, so I was thrilled. I think it captures Mio's sparkling, glamorous world perfectly." Saitō added with a laugh, "We filmed on the same day but at separate locations, so I couldn't stop wondering about the girls' gathering."

When asked what it would be like if they were actual neighbors, Yamamoto replied, "I'd be surprised, but I'd look forward to a story starting from that encounter." Saito joked, "If I were Yamamoto's manager, I'd check the security first," sparking laughter. Both, who became Mio Pa ambassadors alongside their CM appearances, promoted the product: "We want to spread it by having real girls' gatherings. We hope it's used for toasts at weddings and parties," and "Personally, I think it's great for bringing to work sites. It pairs well with Western food, so I really want overseas beginners to Japanese sake to try it."

Saito, who described his usual life as low-key, said, "At drinking parties, I wear a Hollywood actor costume to get everyone hyped up." He then surprised Yamamoto with a magic trick. He pulled a Mio bottle out of a scarf from his jacket's inner pocket, drawing cheers.
The company is currently running a giveaway where participants can receive LINE stickers featuring both stars. Saito added, "I already use Yamamoto-san's stickers all the time."
