Ezaki Glico Prank Project with "Papico"

Ezaki Glico began airing a new TV commercial for its long-selling ice cream "Papico" on May 20th, titled "Papico Prank Project Tokyo." Actress Kazue Fukiishi continues as the image character.

The commercial features Fukiishi as the storyteller, setting up a prank where multiple ordinary people are served Papico served directly in glasses as a new dessert creation. The reactions were captured for the commercial.

Thirty-one people were invited under the guise of "a tasting event for a new dessert from a certain brand." At the venue, formally dressed waitstaff and chefs were prepared as pranksters. The chefs revealed the prank just as the participants finished eating the dessert. Reactions from housewives, college students, elementary school children, and food critics were captured: "What!? Papico?" "I just had this yesterday...", "It's incredibly smooth", "We were tricked!" – genuine amazement at the texture and deliciousness. Fukiishi appears in separate footage, introducing the concept, highlighting the taste, and concluding with the product promotion.
