Consumers choose! JAA Advertising Awards now accepting entries.

The Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) is holding the 56th "JAA Advertising Awards: Consumer-Selected Advertising Contest." The entry deadline is September 30. Click here for the application guidelines.

A key feature of this advertising award is that the judging process excludes advertising industry professionals; instead, winning entries are determined by a panel of general consumers. One hundred general consumers serve on the preliminary judging panel, while twenty general consumers judge the JAA Grand Prix, which determines the top prize.

Eligible advertisements are those published, broadcast, or displayed between October 1, 2016, and September 30, 2017. Note that the "Web Advertising" category from previous years has been renamed the "Digital Advertising" category starting this year.

The advertising agencies and production companies that created the JAA Grand Prix winning works in each category will receive the Best Partner Award.
