The drawing for the "Halloween Jumbo Lottery," offering a top prize of ¥300 million plus front/back prizes totaling ¥500 million, and the "Halloween Jumbo Mini," offering a top prize of ¥50 million plus front/back prizes totaling ¥50 million, was held on November 9 at Toyosu PIT in Koto Ward, Tokyo.
Both lotteries were sold nationwide from October 11th to 31st. They attracted attention partly due to featuring the idol group Momoiro Clover Z in their campaign.
When Momoiro Clover Z appeared on stage in their "Goddess of Fortune" lottery costumes during the Halloween Jumbo first prize draw, the venue erupted in loud cheers. Momota Kanako smiled as she spoke about the costumes: "This time, they were specially made to match each member's color. Our usual costumes are often bulky, but these are easy to move in, which makes me happy." Takagi Reni then said, "I feel excited, like I've become a real goddess," prompting cries of "Cute! It suits you!" from the audience. Sasaki Ayaka responded to the cheers, "I'm happy. I knew you'd say that."
The members pressed the button on the lottery machine to determine the first prize winner, and the number was confirmed. After the draw, Momota expressed relief, saying, "Knowing that somewhere in Japan, someone would win the first prize, and that we pressed the button for it... My heart was pounding all day today. But finally, I feel relieved!"
For this Halloween Jumbo lottery, 500 pairs (1,000 people) who purchased 20 or more tickets at once were invited to a special Momoiro Clover Z live concert. The invited guests enjoyed the live performance held after the lottery drawing.
