From November 20th, Dentsu Inc. is exhibiting products designed by its art directors, planners, and copywriters under the theme "Tools Made from Cardboard" at the entrance on the first floor of its headquarters in Shiodome, Tokyo. (Until December 1st)
The exhibited works are outcomes of the cross-departmental internal project "Product Design School," aimed at expanding creative skills from advertising communication into product design.
This exhibition features products designed around the "Tools Made from Cardboard" theme, showcasing works by 29 participants from the first workshop of the Product Design School. Participants deepened their knowledge of product design and manufacturing through the entire process of design, drafting, and prototyping. As part of this, each work includes the estimated retail price calculated by the creator based on their own cost analysis.
Furthermore, significant intellectual property achievements were made, including the filing of 11 design patent applications for works from this exhibition, with patent applications also planned.
Exhibited Works (Partial List)

"Paper Pot" that burns away / 5CRP Kengo Aoki. An outdoor cooking tool where ingredients like sweet potatoes are placed inside and the entire pot is burned to cook.

Used Glasses Lens Case "D-GLASSES" / 1CRP Yui Takashima. Designed to allow unused glasses lenses to be used as simple glasses during disasters, etc.

Simple Shrine "ofudana" / 2CRP Yuko Katsumata. A simple shrine for displaying "ofuda" (sacred talismans) purchased at shrines or temples.

Cardboard Firewood "Makidamboru" / 3CRP Shinnosuke Shimada. An integrated fire-starting kit combining kindling and newspaper, used to ignite firewood during camping and similar activities. The wooden handle section is designed for printing with ignition fuel.

Rocking Tool "Rockin 2" / 5CRP Satoshi Iwashita. A tool that can be enjoyed as a rocking horse for children and a rocking chair for adults.

Trumpet Mute "Trumpet Paper Mute" / CDC Tadara Tree. Despite its extremely simple structure, it adapts to fit various trumpets and delivers outstanding sound dampening performance.
