To commemorate the launch of the "Year-End Jumbo Lottery," which is drawing attention with its luxurious prize pool of 1 billion yen including the first prize and adjacent prizes, a free bus tour began on December 7th. The tour allows passengers to enjoy the illuminations around the Roppongi and Omotesando areas aboard a London bus.
The day before, on the 6th, a PR event was held at the Tokyo Prince Hotel in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Actress Miwako Kakei, who appears in the Year-End Jumbo TV commercials, along with Yoshiko and Mahiru from the young comedy duo Ganbare Ruya, arrived at the venue riding a specially wrapped London bus.
The trio, dressed in gorgeous gowns evoking an illumination date, emerged from the bus escorted by butlers. They revealed they had been chatting animatedly in the decorated bus interior and continued their lively talk.
When asked what words from a man make their hearts skip a beat, Yoshiko shared, "On a date, when he said 'You're surprisingly petite,' like in a manga, it made my heart flutter." Kakei nodded with a smile, agreeing, "I get it, I totally get it. It makes you go 'kyun'." Feeling encouraged, Yoshiko added, "Right? We're all the same. Our values, our looks," seeking further agreement from Kakei and drawing laughter.
Mahiru blushed as she shared, "When it's cold and he puts a blanket over me, then holds my hand under it..." She then confessed, "That butler guy who escorted me off the bus earlier is totally my type."
Yoshiko countered, "I like him too," sparking a butler confession showdown. Yoshiko won by stating, "I prefer men closer to my age."
Thanks to the MC's quick thinking, the prize was a princess carry. Yoshiko looked apologetic, saying, "I've only been carried like that when I was born. I weigh 72 kg, but is that okay?" Yet she beamed with joy, thoroughly enjoying her first experience as an adult.
Though the two Ganbare Ruya members sparked fireworks during the showdown, they affectionately shared a big dream: "We're currently roomies and plan to live together until we marry. If we won 1 billion yen, we'd build our own home together."
When asked, "What single kanji character sums up your year?" Kakei answered, "This year, I was able to spend time facing myself, so 'voice' (声)," expressing a fulfilling year. When Ganbare Ruya's duo said, "The reason we got on TV was thanks to Uchimura-san from Uchiyama Nanchan. So 'Uchi' (内) and 'Mura' (村)," Kakei burst out laughing, exclaiming, "What an original answer!"
The "Year-End Jumbo Lottery Illumination Bus Tour" will run in the Roppongi area from December 7th to 9th and in the Omotesando area from December 10th to 13th.
