"Supporting the rapidly changing advertising industry and becoming the engine that leads it" - JAAA holds its regular general meeting

The Japan Advertising Association (JAAA) held its 2018 Annual General Meeting at the Palace Hotel Tokyo in Marunouchi on May 31. The meeting deliberated and approved the 2017 business and financial reports, the 2018 business and budget plans, and the appointment of directors. The commemorative ceremony following the meeting featured the award ceremonies for the 47th Prize Essay Contest and the 2017 Creator of the Year Award, as well as the presentation of the 53rd Hideo Yoshida Memorial Award.

Chairman Junji Narita (Advisory Director, Hakuhodo) stated in his address: "The environment surrounding advertising is undergoing significant change. Beyond the evolution of the digital environment, shifts in the media landscape, and changes in consumer behavior, we are also seeing increased entry from companies in different industries, such as consulting firms and platform providers. For the advertising industry to continue growing, advertising agencies must also keep changing. To drive transformation for the future, JAAA also wants to embark on new challenges."
