The Public Relations Society of Japan (PRSJ) announced on January 7th that Paralympian Mana Sato has been selected as the 2013 "Japan PR Grand Prize: Person of the Year."
This award honors individuals who have contributed to the public interest or excelled in their respective fields from a PR perspective. Sato was recognized for her impactful final presentation at the IOC Session last September for the Olympic and Paralympic Games bid. She shared how she overcame suffering through sports and expressed her feelings about reconstruction as someone from a disaster-affected area, deeply moving not only Japan but the entire world.
Additionally, the NPO Bookstore Grand Prize Executive Committee was selected as the "Citizen of the Year."
The award ceremony will be held on January 21 during the "New Year PR Festa 2014" hosted by PRSJ.
