"Tokyo Midtown DESIGN TOUCH 2018" ( http://www.tokyo-midtown.com/jp/event/designtouch/ ), an event where you can enjoy design with all five senses, will be held at Tokyo Midtown in Minato Ward from October 19 to November 4.
Held annually since 2007, this event views everything that shapes culture—interior design, graphics, products, music, food, and more—as "design," proposing ways to enrich daily life through these elements. Since 2017, its concept has been "a design festival where leading designers from Japan and abroad, along with noteworthy designs, gather to offer an accessible experience of design's appeal and potential."

This year's theme is "Ideas for the Future." Among the various future-oriented content, the unit "Ultra Public Project" ( https://ultrapublic.jp/ ), launched by Rhizomatiks Architecture, TYO, and Dentsu Live Inc., will exhibit the mobile "PARK PACK" as a "Park of the Future" on the lawn plaza.
NIKKEN SEKKEI and Propeller & Company have joined this project to introduce tools and technologies that expand the possibilities of parks.
PARK PACK features multiple modules that embody the idea of "things you want to do in a park."
The modules are neither fixed furniture nor play equipment with limited uses. They change and combine based on visitors' ideas, shaping a "park" unique to that time and place.
On the first day, a workshop will be held where participants can simulate experiencing various disabilities and illnesses.
Additionally, the lawn plaza will be transformed into a photo studio accessible to all, featuring events where participants can learn photography techniques in nature. A silent disco will also be held, allowing attendees to enjoy music through wireless headphones.
