Hyper-realistic ride-type theater "Hexaride" opens at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza! First installment: "Ghost in the Shell: GHOST CHASER"

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, a commercial facility in Koto Ward, reopened on November 2nd, introducing Japan's first ride-type VR attraction, "hexaRide."

The new "Q-Ride" equipment used for hexaRide dynamically and precisely moves its 12-person seats via a 6-axis motion system, synchronized with the head-mounted display worn by users. Its appeal lies in delivering an overwhelming sense of immersion, allowing users to experience a unique sensation of floating and speed alongside 360-degree VR imagery.

The first content offering is "Ghost in the Shell," a seminal near-future sci-fi work adapted across various media including manga, theatrical films, and TV anime.

For this attraction, director Hiroaki Higashi and Production I.G, creators of "Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie Virtual Reality Diver" (which received official invitations to VR sections at festivals like the Venice International Film Festival and earned high acclaim), produced the visuals. They achieved an unprecedented VR experience where the ride's movements are perfectly synchronized with the stunning visuals, representing the pinnacle of VR imagery.

At the preview event held the day before the general opening, Mr. Ouyang Zhihong, Founder and CEO of Brogent Technologies, the company behind the Hexaride, gave a speech. He expressed gratitude to many involved parties and shared his aspiration: "We want to spread this world's most advanced compact attraction globally, allowing people to enter the world of the work and experience theme park-level immersion."

Following him, Kohei Furukawa, President of Brogent Japan Entertainment, explained the project's background. "This project began because we were impressed by Brogent Technologies' advanced technology. You'll understand its brilliance once you ride it, so please experience it for yourself," he said.

The second wave of content will feature screenings of the popular manga and anime series "Attack on Titan."
