The youth travel project "Hatsu TABI" is running with the theme "Winter Okinawa" (until the end of March). Launched in January last year by Dentsu Inc. and Recruit Lifestyle targeting university students and other young people under the concept of "a journey to discover new experiences," this marks its third iteration. As part of Okinawa Prefecture's tourism subsidy program, it uses a special site within Japan's largest accommodation booking platform, "Jalan net," as its platform. It issues coupons offering up to ¥10,000 off accommodation costs, introduces products and various services provided by participating companies, and aims to stimulate travel demand to Okinawa Prefecture, contributing to regional revitalization.
Participating companies include: - Toyota Motor Corporation: Free test drives of the "Corolla Fielder" using complimentary rental cars. - NTT DOCOMO: Free rental car service as part of the "Docomo Drive Net" Touch & Try program (starting February). - Canon Marketing Japan: Free trial of "Photo Presso," a service enabling easy creation of photo books from pictures taken during travel. Additionally, campaigns offering great value for younger travelers include presenting an Okinawa guide produced by the travel magazine 'Jalan' upon accommodation check-in, and gifting a first-trip bag containing products like Nestlé Japan's "KitKat" and Japan Gateway's body wash and body treatment "Melsabon".
As part of the "First TABI in Okinawa" promotion, the travel variety show "Okinawa Trip for Modern Girls! Komyu Tabi" aired on January 13th (TV Tokyo network, 6 stations). The "SUPER BINGO Trip in Okinawa" by the popular YouTube creator theater group Gekidan Squash will be streamed on YouTube.
