Japan Coca-Cola signed a sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee on December 25, becoming a Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Gold Partner.
The contract covers the categories of "non-alcoholic beverages, coffee beans, and instant coffee (powder/granules)."
Through this agreement, in addition to its activities as an Olympic Worldwide Partner, Coca-Cola will support the Tokyo Paralympics in areas such as event operations and athlete development.
President Jorge Garduño commented, "As the longest-standing partner of the Olympic Games, Coca-Cola has delivered the emotion and excitement of the world's largest international sporting events to people everywhere. For the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, we will work alongside our bottling companies to provide unforgettable, special experiences unique to our brand, striving to make this a Games that will be remembered for generations."
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori commented, "We are pleased to welcome Coca-Cola, a company with a long history of supporting the Olympic and Paralympic Games, as a Paralympic Gold Partner.
