The 38th Tokyo Advertising Association Shirakawa Shinobu Award Winner Announced

The Tokyo Advertising Association announced on December 6th that it has selected Creative Director and Copywriter Takashi Nakahata as the recipient of the 38th "Tokyo Advertising Association Shinobu Shirakawa Award."

Additionally, the Special Achievement Award will be presented to Mr. Tsuchihashi Yoko, Managing Director of Delphis. The awards ceremony will be held at the Tokyo Kaikan on February 22, 2019.

Established in 1982, the award honors the outstanding achievements of the late Shinobu Shirakawa, the inaugural chairman of the Japan Advertising Association (now the Tokyo Advertising Association), founded in 1947. It is funded by a donation from Mr. Shirakawa and is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of advertising.

Mr. Nakahata has been active since the 1960s as a pioneer copywriter, handling a wide range of advertising and marketing strategies and significantly contributing to the qualitative improvement of advertising creativity. Since 2007, he has served as Chairman of the Tokyo Copywriters Club (TCC), focusing on nurturing the next generation, and has continued to contribute to the advertising industry for many years.

Mr. Tsuchihashi has been central to Toyota's advertising and promotional activities, driving the entire advertising industry forward. He has also held key positions in advertising-related public interest organizations, contributing to the development and advancement of the advertising field.
