Disney and Docomo Launch "Disney DELUXE"
Walt Disney Japan and NTT DOCOMO will launch "Disney DELUXE," Japan's first new service offering unlimited access to video content from Disney's four brands—Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel—starting March 26.
Ahead of this, an announcement event for the service was held at The Westin Tokyo in Meguro Ward on the 7th.
Disney DELUXE is a service comprising four apps: the core video app "Disney THEATER," plus "Disney DX," "STAR WARS DX," and "MARVEL DX," which offer digital content beyond video.

"Disney THEATER" allows users to enjoy both classic and new films and TV shows from the four brands on smartphones, tablets, PCs, and TVs. Titles available for viewing include "Frozen" and "Coco," making their debut on a subscription video-on-demand service, as well as the new release "Solo: A Star Wars Story."
"Disney DX," "STAR WARS DX," and "MARVEL DX" provide unlimited access to the latest news from the four brands, plus costumes and stamps linked to theatrical releases. Limited-edition items like mugs, T-shirts, and tote bags will be sold, and members also receive discounts and special offers for events and exhibitions.

Non-docomo users can also join by obtaining a "d account" and Disney's "Disney Account," making it accessible to anyone regardless of carrier. The monthly fee is ¥700 (excluding tax), with the first 31 days free upon joining. Furthermore, starting March 12, d Points can be used at Disney Stores nationwide. From March 26 to April 14, a campaign will run offering 5 times the usual d Points to celebrate the launch of "Disney DELUXE."
Luke Kang, Managing Director of The Walt Disney Company, stated, "We couldn't ask for a better partner than NTT DOCOMO, given their relentless drive toward the arrival of the 5G era and our shared goal of consistently exceeding consumer expectations through the products and experiences we both deliver."
Tony Ellison, Vice President & General Manager of Walt Disney Japan, said, "Access to moving stories, beloved stories, anytime. Together with Docomo, we want to understand customer needs and deliver a deluxe experience. We want to bring smiles to the faces of our passionate and diverse fans in Japan."
NTT DOCOMO President Kazuhiro Yoshizawa said, "By leveraging Disney's wonderful content, we aim to deliver the best experience to each and every user. We will continue to promote initiatives with various partners and provide new added value."
