The Dentsu Group won a total of 45 awards at ADFEST 2019 (※1), Asia's premier creative festival held in Pattaya, Thailand from March 20 to 23. For the third consecutive year, the Group was selected as Network of the Year, an award given to the most creative advertising agency network.
Additionally, Dentsu Inc. was selected as Agency of the Year, the award given to the single advertising company with the most wins. This marks the seventh time Dentsu has won Agency of the Year.
Furthermore, BWM Dentsu Sydney, part of our group, was selected as Digital Agency of the Year, an award recognizing outstanding achievements in the digital domain, marking its first win.

<Dentsu Group Highlights at ADFEST 2019>
・BWM Dentsu Inc. Sydney won the Grande for Humanity Award (※2), the top prize in the social perspective category.
・Dentsu Inc. won the Grande, the top prize in the Brand Experience & Engagement Lotus category.
・Dentsu Inc. received the Lotus Roots Award (※3) (equivalent to Gold).
・BMW Dentsu Inc. Sydney received the Innova Award (equivalent to Gold).
An Assistant Director at Dentsu Inc. Creative X Co., Ltd. received a COMMENDATION in the Fabulous Five (※5).
・In addition to the above, 8 Gold Awards, 11 Silver Awards, and 21 Bronze Awards were won.

※1: The Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST), established in 1998, is one of the leading advertising awards in the Asia-Pacific region. This year's festival saw participation from approximately 1,100 people across 63 cities. Regarding the awards, a total of 2,539 entries were submitted across the following categories: Audio, Branded Entertainment, Brand Experience & Engagement, Design, Direct, eCommerce, Effective, Film Craft, Film, Innova, Integrated, Interactive, Lotus Roots, Media, Mobile, New Directors, Outdoor, Press, and Print Craft. ※4: This award recognizes innovative ideas or campaigns that have made a significant impact on the marketing industry.
※5: A competition aimed at nurturing young directors. It solicits scripts for short films under 5 minutes based on a theme. After judging, five individuals (the Fabulous Five) are selected to actually produce the films. The five completed films are screened on stage at the event, and one of the directors is selected for a COMMENDATION.
