The Japan Disabled Sports Association and the Japan Wheelchair Rugby Federation will host the "Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge 2019" (Top Partner: Mitsubishi Corporation; Official Partners: Japan Airlines, Mitsui Fudosan; Official Supporters: Nikko Asset Management, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines; Official Suppliers: Goldwin, Shimizu Corporation) at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Shibuya Ward from October 16 to 20.

The tournament will be a world championship featuring the top eight nations (Australia, USA, Japan, Canada, UK, France, New Zealand, Brazil), including the Japanese national team, which won its first world title at the 2018 World Championship.
