The "MATERIAL DESIGN EXHIBITION" is a curated show where companies and designers collaborate to showcase the process of discovering new value in materials and technology. Material ConneXion Tokyo, which operates one of the world's largest material libraries, has held this exhibition annually since 2015.
This year, Dentsu Inc.'s cross-organizational unit "DENTSU DESIGN FIRM" is participating in the exhibition. Designers Mineko Hotta, Masato Nakagawa, and Nae Oosaki, collaborating with Sumitomo Forestry, aim to create new value by "STRETCH=drawing out" the potential of wood.

Based on Sumitomo Forestry's long-accumulated research data on "the effects of wood," the exhibition presents a space that feels like stepping inside a tree. By experiencing the texture, sound, scent, and feel of wood with their whole bodies, visitors are offered an experience that allows them to rediscover the value of wood.
