B6 size, 96 pages, ¥900 + tax ISBN: 978-4-596-55146-7

This book is a beginner's guide to rugby rules, produced for the Rugby World Cup, which is being held in Japan and Asia for the first time. The book is easy to understand because it omits all the detailed and difficult parts. Kishiboy, a popular YouTube character who teaches the rules, explains everything from the basics of rugby to simple questions with a touch of humor.

[A Message from the Author]
Rugby is a sport where teams compete to score points by carrying the ball into the opponent's territory. While opponents will throw their bodies into the fray to stop you, it's fundamentally a simple game. Yet rugby is often perceived as complicated and intimidating. This book sets aside the minutiae, focusing on the essentials you need to understand to enjoy watching rugby. We interviewed many people and carefully, yet boldly, selected the content to include. Experts might think, "How could they leave this out?" or have other opinions, but please take it in stride. In Japan, rugby rarely comes up in conversation at all, so just sparking that discussion is a win. By the way, the rugby players (collectively called "ragamans") in this book are portrayed by Kishiboy, a chubby character. We hope you'll get a rough grasp of rugby alongside Kishiboy and enjoy watching the games.
