Changmin Oh, President of Samsung Electronics Japan, commented, "As a Worldwide Paralympic Partner of the IPC, we have supported the Games to spread their excitement and inspiration. We want to contribute through various wireless communication devices to make the Tokyo Games an unforgettable event for everyone."
Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori commented, "Samsung has supported the Games through campaigns since the Torino 2006 Winter Paralympics and as a Worldwide Paralympic Partner since the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympics. We are very encouraged that they will provide support for the Tokyo Games to help more people join the Paralympic Movement."
The Tokyo Paralympics consist of two sponsorship programs: the IPC Sponsorship Program and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Sponsorship Program.
IPC Worldwide Partners have the right to use the Paralympic name and mark (excluding rights for the Tokyo Paralympics).
The Tokyo Paralympic Sponsorship Program consists of three tiers: Gold Partners at the highest level, Official Partners, and Official Supporters. The core domestic contract sponsors in Tokyo 2020's marketing are partners for the Japanese Paralympic Team, including the Tokyo Paralympics, until the end of December 2020, and can exercise rights including the use of names and marks.
