Event Space "note place" Opens A Hub for Creators and Fans to Connect
note, a media platform with the mission "to enable anyone to start and continue creating," opened its event space "note place" in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 16.

While note is widely used by creators and companies for communication with fans (readers) during their creative activities, this new space aims to further expand that scope. As online events, seminars, presentations, and webinars become commonplace, note seeks to create a space suited for this new era.

At the launch event held the same day, President Sadaaki Kato stated, "This facility was planned before the pandemic. We believe offline encounters are just as important to our mission as online ones. We want to promote in-person events not only as a platform provider but also as a hub for creators to directly feel fan reactions and for creators and fans, as well as creators themselves, to interact."
He also expressed the desire for the space to be utilized not merely as a rental venue, but also as a place for corporate branding and communication with users. The venue will provide planning and distribution support for various events upon request.

The facility primarily consists of a "Hall" (accommodating approximately 200 people, or up to 50 while maintaining social distancing) equipped with a remote camera system; a "Lounge" with a café-like atmosphere featuring a kitchen and cooking utensils; and a "Studio" with online streaming equipment including cameras, lighting, and high-speed internet, catering to a wide range of uses.

The launch event featured a discussion titled "The Future of Creator Activities" between President Kazuaki Kamata of UUUM, which manages YouTubers and other influencers, and President Kato. The two actively exchanged views on "thoughts on creators," "relationships with fans," "online vs. offline," and "collaboration with mass media." Regarding note place, they commented, "We hope it becomes a place where new-era content is born," and "We want it to be a place where many people can experience 'creativity' firsthand."
