Your bite gives Japan energy. #GenkiItadakimasuProject

On August 4, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced the launch of the "#Genki Itadakimasu Project" as a sales promotion measure for domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products that have been impacted by reduced sales due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
A special website has been relaunched as the official "#Genki Itadakimasu Project" website, and an official Instagram account (@genki_itadakimasu) has been newly established.
Actress Suzu Hirose has been appointed as the project's ambassador and will appear in TV commercials and other media to encourage the use of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.

Amidst inventory backlogs, price declines, and reduced sales of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products due to reduced outings and stagnant exports caused by the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is implementing the "Emergency Measures to Promote Sales of Domestic Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Products." This aims to boost sales of significantly affected items and provide consumers with opportunities and suggestions to enjoy them deliciously.
This summer, as we move into the bountiful autumn season, the project is being relaunched with a new name to encourage broader consumption of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.
The new catchphrase is "Your bite energizes Japan." The logo features a friendly design themed around "eating."
