Dentsu Inc. has formed a business partnership with Agile Media Network (AMN), which supports corporate social media utilization, regarding a new corporate information provision service.
The recent development and widespread adoption of social media has led to an increase in bloggers and SNS users who share their perspectives on societal events and corporate activities (such as new product launches) via blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms. Consequently, corporate public relations and PR activities now require not only outreach to traditional mass media, but also essential information dissemination through social media. This has fostered new forms of communication that integrate mass media and social media.
In response to this environment, Dentsu Inc. and AMN are launching a social media information distribution service as the first offering under their partnership. The service details are as follows:
① Create newsletters edited from a unique perspective, analyzing social media reactions and mass media discourse trends based on various information released by companies.
② Distribute these newsletters to bloggers and SNS users.
The division of roles between the two companies is as follows: Dentsu Inc. handles the planning, production, and sales of the newsletter service, while AMN is responsible for information distribution to bloggers and awareness-raising activities.
Furthermore, for newsletter planning and production, renowned bloggers and online media editors will be appointed as external editorial advisors (consultants). There are also plans to distribute these newsletters to online and mass media outlets.
The social media information distribution service is currently undergoing test marketing (confirmation and verification) ahead of its launch in March this year. It will be provided free of charge to companies wishing to participate in the trial (20 companies, first-come, first-served basis).
