The Japan Foundation (JF), Japan's only specialized agency for comprehensive international cultural exchange under the slogan "Making friends in Japan, fostering bonds with the world," has announced the winning entries in a cover song video contest for Japanese learners of its easy Japanese rap "Yasashii Sekai."
The easy Japanese rap "Yasashii Sekai" carries a message of creating a world with easy Japanese (Japanese that anyone can understand) and kind hearts to realize multicultural coexistence and an inclusive society (Produced and Copyright: Easy Japanese Tourism Research Group; Special Cooperation: Keizo Yamawaki Seminar, Faculty of Global Japanese Studies, Meiji University; Supported by: The Japan Foundation (JF)). The contest invited non-native Japanese speakers (especially those studying Japanese overseas) to create original "parody videos" featuring Japanese rap over this song.
From the many entries, the students of the Keizo Yamawaki Seminar at Meiji University selected 7 Excellence Awards and 1 Special Jury Award.
