The Corporate Mécénat Council held the "Mécénat Award 2022" presentation ceremony on Thursday, November 24, at Spiral Hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo. This award recognizes particularly outstanding corporate activities from the perspective of social innovation through art and culture. This year, six recipients were selected (one "Grand Prize" and five "Excellence Awards").

Toppan Printing receiving the Grand Prize
The Grand Prize was awarded to Toppan Printing's "Possibility Art Project." This project involves transforming "Possibility Art" works—created by artists with disabilities on the theme of "infinite potential and talent"—into digital lithographs using Toppan's technology. These works are then exhibited in company buildings and metaverse spaces. Furthermore, the project supports artists by utilizing the art in business activities and distributing the resulting art usage fees. It was recognized for adding value to the works of artists with disabilities through proprietary technology, establishing a system that simultaneously supports the independence of people with disabilities and business activities, and contributing to employee development.
Upon receiving the award, Executive Vice President and Representative Director Shinichi Okubo expressed his joy: "Each individual possesses infinite potential. Being able to help that infinite potential blossom is the greatest joy for all our employees. This award is an encouragement to all our employees and everyone involved."
The presentation ceremony featured remarks by Takashi Takashima, Chairman of the Corporate Mecenat Council, followed by presentations of award-winning activities by representatives from each company. The Excellence Award and the Mecenat Grand Prize were then conferred.
