When I realized that what my body craved wasn't calories but texture, I thought that if I could find a way to eat without consuming calories, it might ease the minds of many others facing the same struggle.

Phantom Snack allows you to enjoy the chewing sensation and flavor of "crunchy" or "crunchy" textures without putting anything in your mouth. Creative Director Ko Izumi, involved in its development, had long nurtured the idea of "getting texture without calories." The mechanism detects jaw movements via facial recognition technology and feeds back preset chewing sounds and vibrations of cookies or potato chips through bone conduction earphones. By also synchronizing visuals and an aroma diffuser, it delivers a chewing experience so realistic it feels like you're actually eating. This technology expands the human sense of "texture" while simultaneously freeing people from the guilt of "calorie intake." Applications are also anticipated. Could it bring the joy of eating to those confined to liquid diets? Chewing is also said to be effective in preventing dementia. It's a technology that delivers a solid sense of satisfaction—or rather, a solid bite.
