"Aim for Commercialization! The Ultimate Noko-san Restaurant 2024" Event on September 9th - No Peko Lab
The No Peko Lab, a project within Dentsu Inc. Sodejin (Social Design Engine) aiming to solve all issues related to "children and food," will hold "Aim for Commercialization! The Ultimate Nokosan Restaurant 2024" on Monday, September 9. The event will feature presentations of the top five winning recipes from a student recipe contest focused on bread crusts, along with a free tasting session offering 50 servings. The winning recipes will be considered for commercialization in Lawson stores across the Tokyo metropolitan area. Supporters include the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; the Ministry of the Environment; the Consumer Affairs Agency; the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Environment Bureau; Minato City; and Koto City. Sponsors are Lawson and Meiji. Collaborators include Toita Women's Junior College and the World Food Day Month 2024 Secretariat.
Through this event, we aim to make leftover cooking commonplace among young people by promoting food loss reduction in an enjoyable way. By also considering commercialization, we seek to encourage corporate efforts to reduce food loss, ultimately contributing to the eradication of hunger and poverty.
September 9th is designated as "Goo Goo Day" (officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association), a day for everyone to think about and take action on "Children and Food".
