Dentsu Inc. acquires worldwide marketing and broadcasting rights for 2016–2021 for tournaments hosted by the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF), including the East Asian Cup.

Dentsu Inc. has reached an agreement with the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF)* to continue acquiring the worldwide marketing rights and broadcasting rights (including internet) for all tournaments hosted by the EAFF from 2016 to 2021.

EAFF-hosted tournaments include the EAFF East Asian Cup, the EAFF Women's East Asian Cup, tournament qualifiers, and the U-18 Youth Tournament.

Dentsu Inc. has held the marketing and broadcasting rights for EAFF tournaments since the inaugural event in 2003. This agreement marks the third renewal (the previous two agreements covered 2003-2008 and 2009-2015).

※  East Asian Football Federation (EAFF): Established in May 2002 with the aim of developing football within the region and contributing to peace through football. Hosts the East Asian Football Championship biennially since 2003. The tournament was renamed the East Asian Cup starting with the 2013 edition. The current president is Jian Zhang, Vice President and Managing Director of the Chinese Football Association. Currently, 10 national and regional football associations are members: China, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Macau, Mongolia, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
