With the opening of Toranomon Hills, "Tora no Mon" is making a big splash!

Tokyo's new landmark, Toranomon Hills, opened on June 11th.

The new mascot is Toranomon, a cat-shaped business robot who came from 100 years in the future. His role is to "innovate the world and bring many ideas to life," with the mission of "creating a 'Mirai Tokyo' that excites everyone together." Fujiko Pro supervised and authorized the character. Its body is pure white with ears, and its head, torso, and tail feature patterns inspired by the Toranomon Hills logo. It appears to be male, was made in the same factory as Doraemon, and even has a 4-Dimensional Pocket.

Ahead of the opening, teaser ads featuring Doraemon, such as station posters, were released to build anticipation. Starting the day before the opening, full-page color spreads appeared in the five major national newspapers, and TV commercials began airing, drawing significant attention.

In the TV commercial "Presentation" edition, Toramon appears on stage at an international conference gathering businesspeople from around the world and begins a presentation. The audience is amazed by a performance using a secret gadget to accelerate plant growth. When the secret gadget is used on a model of Toranomon Hills, a vision of future Tokyo appears. The content hints at Tokyo's evolution as a hub for international business and a source of innovation. Additionally, digital signage and train channel advertising were used to promote the location.
