Cannes Flash Report 5★ Dentsu Inc. Wins Gold at Young Lions!

At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the Young Lions Print category saw a joint entry by Dentsu Inc.'s Yuri Uenishi and Chihiro Yabe win Gold. This marks the highest achievement ever for a Japanese representative.

Young Lions involves teams of two young creators representing their country, who must develop a proposal within 24 hours for a challenge given on-site at Cannes Lions. This year's Print category challenge, "Easier Than You Think," assumed the client was WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Based on the concept "Saving endangered animals is easier than you think," the task was to get social media users to follow WWF's social media accounts.

The winning entry expressed the insight that "Gaining one follower allows you to reach their friends and followers, averaging 130 people per follower." It was recognized for its clear, simple idea and faithful execution of the challenge.
