On the evening of October 3rd, the day before the final day of the "Asian Games," the 'Dentsu Inc. Gala Incheon 2014' was held at the Garden Villa within the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon, South Korea.
Since the 13th Asian Games held in Bangkok in 1998, Dentsu Inc. has served as the marketing agent for the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). It handles sales not only to Japanese sponsors and broadcasters but also to overseas companies and broadcasters. Dentsu Inc. also supports the host city's organizing committee and develops marketing programs.
Approximately 300 attendees, including OCA President Sheikh Ahmad, members of the Incheon Organizing Committee (IAGOC), Games sponsors, the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), and broadcasters, were welcomed by Dentsu Inc. President Nao Ishii and other executives.
President Ishii stated, "The Incheon Games mark the fifth Asian Games Dentsu Inc. has collaborated on with the OCA. We look forward to continuing our contribution to the development of sports in Asia." He expressed congratulations to the OCA, IAGOC, sponsors, and others on the Games' success. President Ahmad responded, "We value our nearly 20-year positive relationship with Dentsu Inc. and will continue to work closely together as the OCA's Global Marketing Partner."
Amid performances of jazz and classical music, sushi and sake were served, and attendees enjoyed a pleasant time conversing.
