To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, Dentsu Inc. illuminated its Tokyo headquarters building (Shiodome) with building lettering at night from October 6th to 13th.
The display began with "1964 TOKYO Olympics 50th". Starting on the 10th, the character "祝" (celebration) was added, marking the 50th anniversary of the opening ceremony held on that same date 50 years prior.
Dentsu Inc.'s building lettering also drew attention during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, displaying various messages throughout the tournament period.
