Starting November 1, Dentsu Inc., together with its subsidiary Dentsu Aegis Network, joined the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a Strategic Partner.
Founded in 1971 by Swiss economist Klaus Schwab, the WEF is a non-profit international organization where leaders from diverse fields—including business, politics, economics, and academia—collaborate to discuss and address global, regional, and industry challenges. Its annual meeting, held in late January each year, is widely known as the "Davos Meeting."
Strategic Partners consist of approximately 100 companies, primarily global corporations, whose role is to support solutions for the various challenges discussed at the WEF. The Dentsu Group will contribute to improving the state of the world, as defined by the WEF's mission, from a communications perspective.
While several Japanese companies are already participating as Strategic Partners, Dentsu is the first from the information, communications, advertising, and media industries.
